Boycott America

America is supposed to "host" the soccer world cup this year jointly
with Mexico and Canada. Soccer should be a (fun) GAME and the world
cup promote worldwide peace and understanding. But it is obvious,
that Trump WILL (see his pocketing a gold medal at the MetLife
Stadium in New Jersey and keeping the FIFA trophy in July 2025) be
using the "games" for his personal glorification and
political propaganda, while at the same time denying millions of fans
access to actually watching the game.

I speak only for myself, but if I were a soccer player, I would simply
refuse (boycott) to participate in the upcoming "games" –
at least the matches to be held in America.

Side note – I have been working as a freelance translator for almost 40
years, but when I first heard of Trump and saw what he does, I
decided never to work for American companies again. In time I
declined job offers worth about 2,000 USD. Being a member of the
(very) low income group, I cannot really afford that kind of
sacrifice, but I paid the price gladly!
